Brand Book | 2017
In 2017, messaging at Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) was the Wild West. The organization focuses on a variety of different environmental behaviors and as a result our messaging was confusing.
We set out to consolidate and define a brand language for the first time in a 41 year history. Through this process we explicitly defined a brand language and organization personality based on market research.
We also outlined visual brand guidelines including colors, typefaces, and logo guidelines for the first time.
Finally, to amplify the visual language of the brand, we developed an icon set to visually identify and connect the 11 programs associated with KIB.
